Learning to fly has never been easier with Morningstar Flight Academy!
We offer introductory flights!
Introductory Flights consist of 15 minutes safety briefing and 45 minutes flight with an instructor.
Upon arrival at the airfield you will be introduced to your qualified instructor, who will take you out to the airplane for the pre-flight inspection and to be shown around the control panel. Once you have tightened your seat belt, you and your instructor will soon be on the way down the runway ready for take-off. Feel the rush of adrenaline as the wheels leave the ground and you are up in the air!
As soon as you have reached the correct altitude and speed your instructor will hand over the controls to you! With one hour of flying time and the beautiful West Coast to explore, you may find yourself heading either up the coast, keeping an eye out for Robben Island or turning in a southerly direction towards Table Mountain with False Bay in the distance before coming back north to play over the rolling Swartland hills. No matter where you head towards, the feeling of being at the controls as you turn and bank, increase and decrease in altitude will have you coming back time and again.
All too soon you have to relinquish the controls back to your instructor who will take you back towards the airfield. This will be your time to relax and reflect on your experience during your return to land. This is the perfect experience for anyone thinking of taking up flying as a career or as a part time hobby. Either way – this will be an unforgettable journey.
