Lesson 1:
Tailwheel Aircraft Familiarisation
Duration: 1.5 Hours Dual

The student will be familiarized with the training airplane. Tail wheel specific aerodynamic principles will be covered, and the student will be introduced to taxying, tight turns during taxy, high speed taxy with tail up on the runway and post flight. Calm winds recommended.

Lesson 2:
Ground handling consolidation, takeoff and air exercises
Duration: 1.5 Hours Dual

Ground handling will be consolidated and the student will be introduced to takeoff, flight coordination exercises, turns, slow flight, power on and power off stalls and side slipping. Circuit, go-around and 3 point landing will be demonstrated. Calm winds recommended.

Lesson 3:
Circuits, 3 point landings, bounce recovery, go around and rejected take off
Duration: 1.5 Hours Dual

Dual. The student will be introduced to normal takeoff procedures, circuit, 3 point landings and bounce recovery, go around and RTO procedures.

Lesson 4:
Circuits, 3 point landings, bounce recovery and intro to wheel landings
Duration: 1 Hour Dual

Circuits, 3 point landings and bounce recovery will be consolidated. The student will be introduced to wheel landings and crosswind takeoffs and landings.

Lesson 5:
Wheel landings, Short / soft field operations, crosswind operations
Duration: 1 Hour Dual

Wheel landings and crosswind operations will be consolidated and the student will be introduced to short / soft field operations.

Lesson 6:
Circuits, Crosswind takeoffs and landings, Glide approach and side slipping
Duration: 1 Hour Dual

Circuits, Crosswind takeoffs and landings will be consolidated and the student will be introduced to glide approach landings and side slipping on final approach.

Lesson 7:
Circuits, Consolidation
Duration: 1 Hour Dual

This period is for student consolidation of circuit procedures, takeoff, landing and upper airwork.
